On Monday April 8th, the SLA/Palumbo Girls Co-op Lacrosse team won their first ever game 11-5 against Frankfort High School. The girls worked hard as they made their presence felt across the field. Senior Emily Pugliese led the way with six goals, followed by two shots from both Sahar Williams-Stevens and Rianne DeLosreyes. SLA goalie, sophomore Margie Castejon, played an important part in sealing the win with sixteen saves!

The girls have been working so hard throughout the season and today, they gladly can say, “Hard work really does pay off!” They thank their coach, Erin Giorgio, for leading them to a great victory!
