The Rockets pulled off two wins in the last week as they moved closer to a playoff berth.

Last Thursday, despite playing far from their best soccer, the Rockets dominated Lincoln 6-1. Dalnick Matos scored a hat trick while Maciej Pokora and Dani Fiorenza scored their first goals of the season.

This Tuesday, against, Edison, the Rockets overcame a shaky start on their way to an 8-1 win.

Just 5 minutes into the match a defensive collapse forced a kick save from Rockets goalkeeper Leo Cassel-Siskind on a close range shot. Luckily the Rockets stood firm and midway through the first half Dalnick Matos scored two goals within a minute before making a nice pass to Tristan Dini who knocked home the Rockets third goal of the day. Jacobo Pastor also added his first goal of the season to give the Rockets a 4-0 halftime lead.

After a mishap in goal allowed Edison to score their only goal the Rockets came back with two more goal from Tristan Dini, another from Danick Matos, and an 8th from Tommaso Capra.

The Rockets head into the hardest stretch of their schedule with a 4-1 record. Come out and support the team Thursday at Fels (5500 Langdon Street) and Friday at Tacony Charter (Torresdale Ave. & Robbins St.). Both games are at 3:15.
