After a tough 1-0 loss to Palumbo last week the Rockets got back on track with a 5-1 win against Lincoln Thursday.
Tristan Dini hit the post in the first two minutes of the match before moments later sending a long through ball to Dalnick Matos who put the Rockets on the board with a left footed shot.
Lincoln came back hard with several narrow misses, including one off the cross bar, and forced several saves from goalkeeper Leo Cassel-Siskind, but the Rockets kept the intensity up scoring on an own goal and a second goal from Dalnick to take a 3-0 lead into the half.
After an early second half goal for Lincoln the Rockets put the game away with two goals for Tristan.
Aidan McLaughin had a strong game shutting down Lincoln’s offense from his spot at right back and Maciej Pokora was instrumental in several of SLA’s goals.
The Rockets are now 2-1 and play again on Tuesday against undefeated Mastery South (3:15 at 11th and Bigler). Come out and support the team!
