The SLA Boys Soccer team opened their season on Thursday against Samuel Fels HS. The Rockets opened the game with a chip on their shoulder as they looked to avenge last year’s 3-2 loss to Fels. This year, the Rockets were able to turn the tables. Freshman Ian Duffy pressured the Fels goalie in the opening minutes creating SLA’s first goal. Senior Dalnick Matos scored the next three goals, making the game 4-1. Freshman Joshua Hernandez added two more goals as the Rockets won the game 6-1.
The team continues their season against Frankfort HS on Tuesday, September 17th.
